Alongside classic modulation, delay, and reverb, it also offers experimental effects that go far beyond traditional pedals. With four independent effect tracks, you can freely build everything from immersive ambient soundscapes and intricate glitch sequences to straightforward four-effect signal chains.

• Four Independent Effect Tracks

Each preset can contain up to four freely assignable effects. There are no restrictions on which effects can be placed on each track, allowing you to combine everything from reverbs and delays to spectral processors and bit crushers to create your own unique sound.

• Over 120 Stereo Effects

Arrange more than 120 effects across four independent tracks. Combine traditional modulation, delay, and reverb with granular processors, glitch effects, and more to create entirely new sound design possibilities.

• Perform Effects with the Sequencer

MESS features Polyend's powerful step sequencer.

Each track can have its own independent length and playback speed, making it easy to create complex polyrhythms and polymeters. The built-in Chance function also allows you to generate evolving, unpredictable effects that sound different every time.

Reverbs can gradually expand over time, delays can shift with the rhythm, and modulation effects can move in sync with the tempo, delivering expressive motion that static effects simply cannot achieve.

Choose from seven reverb algorithms with a wide variety of characters, ranging from vast ambient spaces and natural room reverbs to lush modulated plate reverbs.

The delay section includes analog, Lo-Fi, and pristine digital models, along with single, multi-tap, and ping-pong delay types, allowing everything from subtle echoes to dramatic spatial effects.

• Granular & Glitch

A granular and glitch engine with nine different modes captures your incoming signal and reconstructs it in real time.

The granular sampler creates detailed sequenced textures and endlessly evolving ambient soundscapes, while the glitch engine slices incoming audio into fragments and transforms it into entirely new sounds in real time.

• Shapers, Drive & Filters

From subtle saturation and natural overdrive to aggressive bit crushing and sample rate reduction, MESS covers a wide range of tonal possibilities. Combine filters with a variety of shaping tools to sculpt your sound exactly the way you want.
